		<description>You are right!  Boy, this bugs me so much that I googled the phrase humbled vs honored to see if anyone at all has the same objection.
Christians ought to get it right, &quot;customary usage&quot; aside.  Read the Bible to get a clue how nice it is BE humbled.  Our aim is to humble ourselves and avoid deserving to be humbled.</description>

It&#039;s not the best locution, but the intent (and it&#039;s not outside the customary usage of the word) is that such an honor reminds the honoree of just how little they may have done (if only in their mind&#039;s eye) to deserve it.
