The biggest problem I have with the so called “religious right” or as they were once called “the Moral Majority” is that when you claim the moral high ground you have to hold yourself to higher standards than anyone else. When I see people who claim to be moral leaders engage in what is either idiocy or hypocrisy I begin to worry about their fitness to make moral prescriptions for me and mine.
